Dear members

As you know, members of the Faroese Worker´s Union (Føroya Arbeiðarafelag) are on strike. This means that you are not to go to work.

Members have the right to payment from the union´s strike fund.

Please note, that strike-watch duty is mandatory to receive payment from the strike fund. Your union will contact you regarding strike-watch duty.

Member Benefits

As a member of the Faroese Workers’ Union, you will benefit from the general agreements the union has. Your rights  are established in the various agreements in laws and regulations and in custumary law.

Free Legal Help

As a member of the Faroese Workers Union, you will receive free legal and judicial help. Every Thursday between 14 and 16, you can contact the union’s lawyer directly on tel 312101 and the lawyer advises you on legal matters.
